Scholarship Deadline: March 15, 2017


We are excited to kick off 2017 with college scholarship applications, available to local students going on to colleges or universities in the fall of 2017. This year we are offering nine different scholarship types, each with their own qualifications and most with due dates of March 15, 2017. Scholarships available this year include:


-      Bob Armstrong Scholarship (due May 15)

-      Kent Chamber of Commerce Scholarship

-      Covington Chamber of Commerce Scholarship

-      Friends of Kent-Meridian Scholarship

-      Johnson-Stoddard-Osness Family Scholarship

-      Linda Ruby Scholarship

-      Rob Osborne Scholarship

-      Richard and Ina Balash Scholarship

-      Thunderbird Community Sports Foundation Scholarship

The Kent Community Foundation awards the following scholarships:

Richard & Ina Balash Scholarship
Senior who resides in the City of Covington who plans to participate in business or engineering training.

Covington Chamber of Commerce Scholarship
Senior who resides in the City of Covington.

Kent Chamber of Commerce Scholarship
Senior who plans to attend a two year or vocational-technical institute in the state of Washington.

Rob Osborne Scholarship
Senior K-M student involved in athletics with plans to attend a two or four year college within the state of Washington.
 
Linda K. Ruby Scholarship
Senior who plans to attend a four year college, intending to pursue a career in teaching. This scholarship is also open for winners to re-apply after they are in college.

Friends of KM Scholarship
Graduating Kent Meridian Senior attending an accredited post secondary institution and based on financial need.


Thunderbird Community Sports Foundation Scholarship
Senior who plans to pursue sports related fields of study in college or university.
 
The Bob Armstrong Tennis Scholarship
Graduating Kentridge High School senior tennis player or players planning on attending an accredited post secondary institution.
 
The Johnson/Stoddard/Osness Family Scholarship
Senior who plans to pursue a post secondary education in Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics (STEM.)  Priority will be given to applicants being the first in their family to attend college.
